Chicken Wings in BBQ Sauce Crockpot/Slowcooker
- 3 pounds chicken wings (16 wings)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups any variety barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard or spicy mustard
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- Tabasco to taste, optional
Rinse chicken and pat dry. Cut off and discard wing tips. Cut each wing at joint to make two sections. Sprinkle wing parts with salt and pepper. Place wings on a broiler pan. Broil 4-5 inches from the heat for 20 minutes, 10 minutes for each side or until chicken is brown.Transfer chicken to slow cooker/Crock Pot. For sauce, combinebarbecue sauce, honey, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and if moreheat is desired…Tabasco to taste in a small mixing bowl. Pour overchicken wings. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on High 2 -21/2 hours. Serve directly from slow cooker/Crock Pot. Makes about 32appetizers.
Teriyaki Chicken Wings
- 1/3 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp. chili sauce
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. celery seed
- Dash of dry mustard
- 3 lb. chicken wings
MARINADE: Combine lemon juice, soy sauce, oil, chili sauce, garlic, pepper, celery seed and mustard. Stir well, set aside. Cut chicken wings at joint and remove wing tips. Place chicken in baking dish. Pour marinade over chicken. Cover, refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Drain and place on broiler tray. Broil about 10 minutes each side with tray about 7 inches from heating element. Brush occasionally with marinade.
Recipes for chicken wings and orange marmalade
- 2 doz. chicken wings
- 5 oz. kikkoman (preferred) soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup of orange juice
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 stick of butter
Cut tips off the wings. Then cut each wing in half. Pre-heat oven at 375 degrees. While waiting for the oven to heat, spread 1/2 stick of butter is baking pan and poor 1/2 cup of orange juice after. Bake for 45 min. or until marinate is thick. Make sure to turn wings over at about 30 min. Leave and let it bake for the remaining 10-15 min. Once the wings are ready to serve, you can poor what’s left of the marmalade onto the wings.
